Hi, everyone, today I want to tell you about my wiki experience. Our assignment was

as to prepare a film review. I choose the film 'Big Fish'. It is one of my favorites. It is such an interesting movie. The movie is based on the life of Edward Bloom and his relationship with his son Will. Edward Bloom is a person who is known for telling fantastical stories about the events of his life. These crazy stories include giants, witches, etc. Although Will loved and accepted these stories when he was a child when he grow up; he realizes that the stories were not real. But the fact that his father proudly keeps telling these crazy stories frustrates Will. He can't understand why his father doesn't tell the truth and he struggles to discern the reality of his father’s life from the magical nonsense of the stories he’d been told. The film is loaded with life lessons and philosophy. I highly recommend you to watch this film!!

When it comes to my experience on Wiki, generally I enjoyed writing a wiki page but I've struggled at some parts, for instance, I couldn't insert images to my review which annoyed me. I will upload pictures as soon as I learned how to do it. So, I guess it would be better if wiki had a simpler format. Apart from that; let me tell you about the advantages of Wiki and why it is useful for teaching. Firstly, the most important feature of wikis is that they can be created and edited by anyone. They are like public sites. In terms of teaching; Wikis are a website that supports collaborative learning, helps the teacher promote open dialogue, and encourages community building.

I can consider using wikis for brainstorming, film-books reviews, etc. when I'll be a teacher. Because it also helps writing skills, encourages peer review and editing in group assignments. These skills are crucially important for 21st-century skills so Wikis are great tools.
